Frequently Asked Questions

  • Thank you for your recent purchase. Each painting and print is carefully packaged and requires time for drying, varnishing, and packaged for shipping. Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for domestic orders and 3-4 weeks for international orders to ship and arrive.

    U.S. SHIPPING

    All U.S. purchases will be shipped via FEDEX or UPS Ground. Please make sure you have listed your correct shipping address before submitting your payment. All paintings with a value greater than $250.00 will be insured and will require a signature. I will notify you with a tracking number once your order has shipped.

    INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

    International buyers will initially only be charged the U.S. shipping/handling rate at checkout. The actual international shipping rate will most likely be higher. After checkout, the actual rate will be determined based on your address. I will email you a separate invoice for the additional international shipping charges which are due before your order can be fulfilled. OR, you can e-mail me directly with your address and postal code before purchasing for an international shipping quote.

    Shipments outside the U.S. do not include charges for any additional handling such as customs charges, taxes or import fees. These charges are the buyer's responsibility and may need to be paid prior to delivery. Please check with your local post office for more information regarding these types of fees. All artwork will be sent as registered and will require a signature. If a shipment to an international destination is refused by the buyer or returned as undeliverable, I will not be able to provide a refund for the abandoned package. Any additional shipping charges required to return it will be the responsibility of the buyer.

  • Shipping costs are determined based on the price, dimensions, and weight of the artwork(s) purchased, as well as the shipping destination. Shipping costs include packaging and handling. Please note that artwork may be subject to duties, taxes and/or fees according to your country’s regulations. Please consult your local customs office for more details about duties and taxes.

    If ordering more than one painting, the shipping amount at checkout will most likely be higher than the actual shipping amount. Please contact me before ordering multiple items for an accurate shipping cost.

  • I do my best to accurately represent the colors within a painting. Please note that color and brightness may slightly vary due to the differences in screen displays.

  • Most of my work is created using professional grade acrylic and water based media. I occasionally include other mixed media such as oil pastels as a part of my process.

    All canvas and work on paper are professional grade and 100% acid free. Paintings on canvas are varnished in gloss or satin to protect your painting from ultraviolet light and dust. For longevity, paintings should be displayed away from direct sunlight and should not be hung in an area of high humidity.

    For works on paper, framing behind a glass is best for protection and preservation.

  • Prices listed do not cover framing for canvas pieces, except for select mini paintings. If you'd like framing advice, feel free to email me at hello@tarralu.com.

    Canvas paintings: All canvas pieces come wired for hanging and are 'ready to hang' upon arrival, but are not framed.

    Paintings on paper: Unless specified, works on paper are not matted or framed. Proper framing is important to protect the artwork, so make sure to use archival materials. A mat or spacer should be used to prevent direct contact with the glass.

    RETURNS

    All sales are final unless your painting has been damaged during shipping. If this happens, please contact me within 24 hours of receiving your artwork. Please take a digital photo of the damaged painting and packaging and email it to hello@tarralu.com to discuss resolution. I will do everything possible to rectify the situation.
